My Journey

Hi, I’m Alexandra.

At the peak of my communications career, I felt lost and lacked purpose. I just couldn’t put my finger on what was missing. It made me question everything in my life, and worst of all, it made me question myself.

I thought a three-month drum and dance sabbatical in West Africa would bring me happiness and all the answers I sought. Well, it didn’t deliver the happiness I thought it would.

Still, it turned my life upside down: I made the life-altering decision to trade my high-paying job for a volunteering position in Southern Africa.

In hindsight, I know the “why”!

I didn’t feel good enough to do my job! Hello, imposter syndrome!

Back then, my mind justified my move by telling me I just wanted to do a job with meaning and purpose!

Escaping to Africa wasn’t the solution either, though! At least not for this point in my life…

What followed were a few years of stumbling aimlessly through life, hoping to find something that would make me happy and fill the unexplainable void I felt deep inside. No matter where I moved to, what job I did, or how long I travelled on a sabbatical, nothing helped!

Knowing what I know now, I understand that my midlife crisis was in full swing…

It took me two years to finally reach out for help. I worked with excellent coaches and mentors to kick-start my journey to my ikigai – my reason for being!

You might wonder, what took me so long?

I was too afraid to seek support! I felt ashamed as all of my friends seemed to have their “poop together”. They were in relationships, getting married, purchasing their first property, starting a family, and having a career that seemingly made them happy.

I felt like the odd one out and thought I had to figure out life by myself.

But, once I reached out for help and started working on my self-doubts, I discovered my true self. And the more my inner world changed, my outer world unfolded in the most exciting ways.

The golden thread through all of my experiences?

I embraced transformation through personal growth with and in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of my life.

Today, I manage my African travel and nature coaching business, which gives me meaning in my career. I feel fulfilled and happy and do something I love every single day. You see, that escape to Africa was significant after all!

My motto: Change of life the easy way!
My ikigai: To guide single, mid-career professionals to live with purpose and authenticity through unique travel & nature experiences.

I want your change of life to be easy, smooth and exciting.

I help you by sharing all my knowledge as a qualified nature coach and everything I learned on my journey to self-discovery. I do this in an empathetic way during inspiring nature coaching sessions, as nature and I guide you to tap into your inner wisdom to move forward in life with clarity, confidence and ease.

Are you ready to change your life?

I’d be delighted to be by your side every step of the way!

To happiness,

Alexandra
